Description
GLA Rough Sleeping to include the services below: Lot 1 _ MAPS :This service offers specialist capacity to help migrants identify and/or secure a sustainable route off the streets or avoid rough sleeping all together. Referrals come through charities and public sector organisations supporting migrants rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping. Lot 2 _ Crisis Protection and Response Services: This is a pan-London service that currently provides a rapid response to StreetLink alerts for people sleeping rough. StreetLink is a national service, funded by central Government, that enables members of the public to report people sleeping rough via their website, with the aim of connecting them with support from a street outreach team. In London, this is supplemented by the StreetLink London phoneline (currently part-funded by the GLA through grant). The service currently provides street outreach seven days a week across 26 London boroughs which currently focuses on rapidly responding to StreetLink referrals for people sleeping rough and providing a consistent response across London to find people as quickly as possible. This service provides rapid outreach to people via StreetLink alerts. The service undertakes on-street assessment with those people it meets and uploads this information on Combined Homelessness and Information Network (CHAIN). Wherever possible, seeks to find an immediate route off the street for that person or pass the case to the local outreach team if no option is available on the night.
