Think Family

Support commissioning of phase two of the 'Think Family' school-based programme to support children and families where there is a history of parental mental illness. Think Family is a whole family programme delivered through schools, specifically for children and families affected by parental mental illness and is aimed at increasing resilience and emotional wellbeing in children their families and school staff. Parental mental illness is regarded as a significant adverse childhood experience. Children, where a parent has a mental illness, are estimated to be at twice the risk of developing a mental illness compared to other children.
