Description
The mechanical plant and equipment within the retained Estate at MEHT is complex and extensive, installed progressively since 1960’s, and although regularly maintained and in some instances upgraded, requires frequent attention to address incidences of unscheduled, unplanned and un-programmed (and sometimes of an urgent or emergency nature) component failure, leakage, malfunction etc. – the nature and extent of this work requires the input of a mechanical contractor with site awareness, knowledge of the layout, plant and equipment together with specialist experience, operative resources and an ability to mobilise at short notice when requested This contract will be to cover ad hoc projects across the site up to an approximate value of £10,000. These projects will generally be instructed within a reasonable lead in but there may be occasions where an emergency response is required, therefore bidders are required to have the capacity and capability to place engineers on site within two hours of receiving an emergency call. The contract will be capped at £100,000 and have a maximum term of one year, the contract will terminate once the £100,000 cap has been reached or one year from commencement date whichever it reached first,. Upon termination, the contract will be retendered in line with Trust policy.
