RDE 316 - MMO1387 - Socio-economic value of fisheries

This project aims to map out the social and economic values using a number of case studies, mapping out local social and economic benefits fishing bring to both the fishers catching the fish and their wider associated communities. The inter dependencies and barriers to these values being realised must also be investigated through this work too. This will support the MMO to make more informed decisions about trade-offs and better understand the wider implications of management measures. This project was awarded by MMO.
