Description
This site located in Timms Road, Banbury is an old site in dire need of refurbishment with equipment set in primarily a sunken bark pit with a small area of wet pour safer surfacing under the old swing unit. Banbury Town Council is seeking the site to be refurbished giving maximum play value for local residents resulting in a Local Equipped Area of Play (LEAP) for children up to the age of 12 years. On completion the site must be free draining as it is currently located below the surrounding land. The area must be designed to provide access to all user groups and therefore must be DDA compliant and accessible with the bark in particular removed from the site. The final design will be assessed primarily on its play value and shown to local residents for approval prior to any award of the contract. The maximum budget for this project is £80,000 no bids will be accepted if they come in at a higher value. This budget includes any funds to be set aside for contingencies no claims will be accepted for additional works outside this budget.
