Description
Northumberland County Council (NCC) is bidding for funding from Central Government in the hope to proceed with 2 projects within Kyloe House which is a secure Children's Home. The bids have been submitted and the outcome is expected in August 2021. If both projects receive funding they are to be carried out concurrently and all works scheduled to be completed by 31st March 2022. Project 1 - Refurbishment of an external recreation area (referred to as Willow Yard). The area sits within the secure perimeter of the building and is surrounded by rooms within Kyloe House Perimeter Secure Walls. Project 2 - Demolition of an existing outbuilding (referred to as The Pavillion) and the construction of a new Utilities Building in its place. This also involves the relocation of the existing generator and works and utility works with incoming supplies. The existing pavilion sits against the perimeter of the site. It is not linked to the main building and is not accessed by children. The works are to be carried out at Kyloe House Secure Children's Home which is fully operational 24 hours on every day of the year
