Description
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest NHS Trusts in the country, and the major teaching and research centre for the South West of England. The Trust provide general medical and emergency services to the local population of Central and South Bristol, and a broad range of specialist services across a region that extends from Cornwall to Gloucestershire, into South Wales and beyond. Tenders are invited for the Provision of Wigs contract, which involves provision of a comprehensive wig fitting service for circa 450 Haematology and Oncology and 500 Dermatology patients per annum. The service currently provides a wig consultant 2.5 days per week, split across Haematology and Oncology (2 days) and Dermatology (0.5 days), with the majority of appointments as outpatients, and the occasional inpatient appointment. The service is also looking for an at-salon solution in the BNSSG area that allows the patients access to a wig cutting service onsite at an arranged appointment or at a salon in the BNSSG area. (This could include a concession at a local salon) In addition, the service provides wig-fitting support to Dermatology patients at Weston General Hospital, an NHS district general hospital in the town of Weston-Super-Mare, North Somerset, England operated by Weston Area Health NHS Trust. Please note the Wig fitting service operated by Bristol Royal Hospital for Children is a separate service and is not included in this contract.
