Description
The Specialist EOD&S, Exploitation and Countermeasures Project Team, part of the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (the Authority) have awarded a contract to Roke Manor Research Limited for the Remote Sensor Network contract which includes development and integration of multiple aspect remote sensors and their associated networks (RSN) in the field of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, Explosive (CBRNe). The competition was exempt from Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations (DSPCR) 2011 in accordance with the regulation under 6(3A) and 7 (1)(a). The contract is for five years with options to extend by an additional two years making the contract a maximum of seven years in duration. The actual value of the winning tender was £5.91m (ex VAT). The estimated overall value of the contract is £16.08m (Ex VAT) with the majority of the cost driven by the contract tasking process. This contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process, the winning tenderer obtained the highest score, against the evaluation criteria, using the Value for Money Index. The contract was subsequently awarded on 17 March 2025.
