Description
In line with Government legislation from 2013, Durham University has been automatically enrolling all eligible workers / employees into a qualifying pension scheme. In February 2016 the first re enrolment process was completed. We are seeking a qualifying pension scheme provider to meet the need for Durham University to provide a qualifying pension scheme. You should be aware that the qualifying scheme will be in addition to the established schemes provided to the majority of its staff through the Universities Superannuation Scheme (USS) and a local self-administered trust, the Durham University Pension Scheme (DUPS). Staff employed above Grade 6 are automatically eligible for USS membership and staff below Grade 6 are automatically eligible for auto enrolment unless they opt out and apply to join DUPS. The contract will be for a period of 4 years with an option to extend for 2 further periods of 12 months, and is for the sole use of Durham University.
