Almonry Development Project

Battle Town Council is seeking to appoint an experienced main contractor to carry out repair works and rebuild a previously demolished wing of the Town Council offices at the Almonry in Battle, which is a grade 2* listed building. The works involve stone repairs, re-pointing, re-roofing with traditional clay plain tiles, the construction of a steel portal frame with timber frame infill and plasterboard, traditional lath and lime plastering and repairs, traditional leaded light window repairs, a complete overhaul of the heating and electrical systems and external works to form accessible ramps. Works to be carried out with sustainability and environmental awareness in accordance with Council Policy as far as possible The Council invites contractors who have demonstrable experience of working on listed buildings.
