Description
This contract is for the provision of minor adaptations in the homes of service users to assist people to live safely and independently in the community, to avoid hospital admissions or to enable hospital discharge. Minor adaptations are items that are easily installed and require no structural alterations. They include items such as grab rails, additional stair rails, half steps, small ramps, lever taps and lighting for people with a visual impairment. Each order value for minor adaptations is usually under £1000 and Leicestershire County Council have a legal obligation to provide them under the Care Act 2014.
