NHS Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group - Community Services

Please note this is an amendment to the notice published on 14 June 2016. The date of the Market Engagement Event has changed to 06 July 2016 . The new registration deadline is 12:00 Noon 01 July 2016. NHS Bedfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group (BCCG) working with Central Bedfordshire Council and Bedford Borough has started work to redesign the way in which community services for adults and children are delivered. The CCG wishes to develop a clear vision of the outcomes it aspires to achieve for its population, ensuring that services are delivered in a more seamless and integrated way that is closer to people's homes. To achieve this new vision the CCG plans to commence a competitive procurement process through an outcome based specification approach, later in 2016 to commission a Provider or Multiple Providers, who will be accountable for the provision of all Community Services within the scope of the procurement. In order to aid BCCG in its scoping of the service the CCG is seeking to enter into an early market engagement process with interested providers. For information it is likely that the following list of current services will be included within the new service model, however this is subject to change and there is scope for additional services to be included: Adults Community Services Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Adult Eye Service Wheelchair Service PEPS (Palliative Care Service) Community Beds Community Matron Community Nursing Service Continence Discharge Team Heart failure Nurses Macmillan Specialist Palliative Care Nutrition and Dietetics Podiatric Surgery Podiatry Rehabilitation and Enablement Speech and Language Therapy TB Nursing Tissue Viability Children's Services Health Visiting Family Nurse Partnership School Nursing Special School Nurses Physiotherapy Occupational Therapy Speech and Language Therapy Special needs nursing service Children's nursing team Safeguarding CPV codes 85100000: Health Services 85323000: Community health services During the early market engagement process the CCG will be holding a market engagement event at 12:00 Noon until 3:00 pm on the 6th July 2016, at the Kings House, 245 Ampthill Road, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK42 9AZ, with all interested providers. The purpose of this pre-procurement event is for commissioners to communicate to interested providers: • The CCG's vision for integrated Community Services, together with an understanding of the current provision, indicative scope and contract value/length • The early proposals of the contract model for Community Services • Share information about services that they are able to provide or develop • An overview of the potential procurement process(s) to be used. The format of the event will be a Presentation from the CCG followed by An 'open' Q & A session. There will be no longer be any 1:1 sessions. Please note the new date of the event is 06 July 2016 (no longer 29/6/16).
