Integrated MSK Service Market Engagement Event 2 March 2016

MSK Prime Contractor: MARKET ENGAGEMENT EVENT: Wednesday 2nd March 2016. Greenwich CCG invites all potential providers to a Market Engagement Event where the CCG will introduce and discuss plans to procure a Prime Contractor to deliver an Integrated MSK Service for the population of Greenwich. Greenwich CCG is intending to commission an integrated service for musculoskeletal disorders to include an expanded community service through a single point of access with responsibility for referral to secondary care and associated budget, procured through a prime contractor model. GCCG is looking for a Service Start Date of 1 October 2016 The financial envelope for the integrated service is in the region of £13-13.5 million. The proposed service will offer the patient a joined up pathway where assessment and initial triage can be delivered at first contact with a provider hub, ensuring that the patient gets to the right provider first time. Shared decision making will occur within the provider triage hub which will enable the patient to make an informed decision on their treatment options. The service, will encompass the MSK pathway to include rheumatology, elective orthopaedic care, physiotherapy, podiatry, low back pain and chronic pain, inclusive of outpatients and the community but exclusive of non-elective care. The prime contractor model of commissioning requires a single contract between the Prime contractor and the Clinical Commissioning Group with the supply chain contracted to the prime contractor. The Prime contractor will manage its subcontracted providers along the pathway to ensure that patients have timely and appropriate care Interested providers are invited to a Market Engagement Event on Wednesday 2nd March 2016 from 10.00am to 3.30pm,at Charlton Athletic Football Ground Floyd Road, London.SE7 8BL. There will be an opportunity to view the latest service specification, talk to the commissioners and network with providers and other interested parties.
