Description
Natural England's (NE) priorities for 2020 to 2025 are in supporting the government's 25 Year Environment Plan and aims for people connected to the natural environment for their own and society's wellbeing, enjoyment and prosperity. To support this Natural England (working with Natural Resources Wales) provides a website allowing citizens to find and plan trail walks in England and Wales: Find your perfect trail, and discover the land of myths and legend - National Trails The National Trails website is an established and well used website with circa 1.5 million unique users annually. Not only does it provide the public with information on trail routes but also on facilities, inspiration and events to better enable them to access and enjoy the trails. NE anticipate on-going development requirement under this new agreement will be minimal, there will be a need for specific development support during the period Jan to March 2022. This will primarily be to implement necessary changes to ensure the website meets government accessibility requirements and to create some additional functionality/features on the website platform. In addition there will be the need to regularly add mapping information on new stretches of the England Coast Path National Trail, possibly every month. Requirement is for hosting, maintenance, development and content management support for the National Trails website.
