Description
The Council has received funding from of £154,000 for 2023/24 from South Tyneside Integrated Commissioning Board to commission a provider to establish a community outreach team, set up in partnership with local stakeholders that offers opportunistic screening (including for diabetes and cancer), with the hope that this is an effective way of engaging with the community to increase awareness and knowledge, and supporting reduction in preventable and treatable conditions, bringing improvements to the individual's health and wellbeing.
