Description
Braintree District Council is awarding a one‑off supply contract for the manufacture and delivery of replacement polling booths and Voter ID privacy screens to support electoral operations across 149 polling stations in the district. Braintree required modern, durable and accessible equipment that is simple to transport, assemble and store, and which ensures voter privacy and compliance with electoral standards. The tender was issued in three lots with the intention of awarding either Lots 1 and 2 or Lot 3. Lot 1 - Polling Booths: Supply and delivery of polling booths for 149 polling stations. Each station must be equipped to allow a minimum of two voters to vote simultaneously and include at least one accessible booth (e.g., wider compartment, low writing surface). Robust, modular, collapsible/foldable design; lightweight for manual handling; suitable for indoor/outdoor use; privacy partitions; fire‑resistant materials. Lot 2 - Voter ID Privacy Screens: Supply and delivery of one privacy solution per station (149 total). Modular, collapsible, portable; compatible with polling booth layout or stand‑alone; designed to protect modesty and respect religious beliefs; ensures the safeguarding of users and polling staff; fire‑resistant materials. Lot 3 - Combined: Supply and delivery of both Lot 1 and Lot 2 to the requirements above.
