Description
Ricards Lodge is a girls secondary school in Wimbledon, South West London with 1400 pupils and a mixed sixth form. Ricards Lodge High School believe that food plays a vital role in supporting student attendance, engagement, and overall wellbeing. We are seeking a catering partner that not only provides high-quality, nutritious meals but also shares our values of inclusivity, student welfare, and continuous innovation. Our ideal catering partner will: Promote Wellbeing & Attendance – By offering balanced, appealing, and nutritious meals, the catering service should encourage students to enjoy their school lunches, reducing absences linked to poor diet and lack of engagement with food. Initiatives such as themed food days, breakfast clubs, and increased interaction between the school and the Chef, can help ensure every student has access to meals that fuel learning. Embrace Innovation – The school encourage creative menu planning that introduces students to new, exciting, and healthy food choices while considering sustainability, seasonality, and reducing food waste. Reflect Our School’s Cultural Diversity – The school community is enriched by a wide range of cultural backgrounds, and they want their catering service to celebrate this diversity. Menus should offer culturally appropriate meals, including vegetarian, halal, and allergen-friendly options, ensuring all students feel included and represented. The school also value opportunities for themed cultural food events that educate and engage students in different global cuisines. Work in Partnership with the School – The catering provider should collaborate with staff, students, and parents to continually refine and improve the service. Regular feedback mechanisms, tasting sessions, and involvement in school initiatives—such as healthy eating campaigns or wellbeing programs—will help strengthen the connection between food, education, and student success. There is no LGPS. Further information on the Client’s requirements can be found at Attachment 1a Client Data and Attachment 1b Specification. The Contract period will be for 3 years initially, with the option to extend for two further one-year periods at the discretion of the Client.
