Description
Cornwall Council currently has the potential to be awarded up to £850K worth of previously unallocated Central Heating Funding from DECC/BEIS. The primary purpose of the Central Heating Fund is to incentivise the installation of first time central heating systems in fuel poor households who do not use mains gas as their primary heating fuel....Rural provision - ...some of the most severely fuel poor households are those without a mains gas connection in rural locations" DECC Central Heating Fund guidance. The homes (social housing) eligible for the bid are as follows: a recipient who is in or at risk of being in "Fuel Poverty" residing in property "E,", "F" or "G" rated; a domestic premises (dwelling) which is not currently using gas as the primary heating fuel; and where a "Central Heating System" would be installed for the "first time" in the property. DECC/BEIS intends to confirm the final allocation of funding soon, with funding to be invested with eligible partner organisations, i.e. Registered Social Landlords with existing housing stock within Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly, by the end of February, 2017. PLEASE NOTE: Match funding is preferred to add value to the programme. In order to apply please refer to the guidance document attached and complete and submit the attached Expression of Interest form and the accompany spreadsheet to outline your proposals.
