Description
The Service is looking to purchase courses that complement and broaden the current curriculum for 2018-19 and is seeking to support two key groups of residents (later referred to as 'learners'): o Residents who are unemployed and looking for work. o Residents in low paid work and seeking career progression (earning below ?15,736.50 annual gross salary and who would be eligible for full funding). Courses should be aimed at supporting residents towards or into employment or with career progression. Courses can be accredited or non-accredited. Courses can support learners to overcome barriers with work or career progression. Courses can be sector specific or more general employability provision. Providers should consider access to provision with venues, days and times that support access to learning, for example by those in low paid employment or with caring responsibilities. This might include but is not limited to: Twilight courses (i.e. early evening); Evening courses; Weekend courses.
