Description
The pier head widening, including its diagonal props and supporting steel piles, and the adjacent timber landing are to be wholly removed down to below sea bed level. Access to the concrete pier beyond the 'step' arising following removal of the widening is to be installed with ambulant disabled compliant stepped, and wheelchair access compliant ramped installation, both formed with robust steel framing, hardwood timber or composite surfacing, and non-slip finishes. Original style railings are to be installed as edge protection to match existing railing to both landward and seaward elevations of the concrete surface exposed by the removal of the widening. The concrete surface is to be slabbed/made good for return to public use.
