Description
West Yorkshire Combined Authority (WYCA) as the contracting authority for West Yorkshire Police (WYP) have engaged a Supplier to provide 1 x Manager and 6 x Investigative Staff to support a focused, time-bound intervention aimed at reducing a significant backlog of crime finalisations. West Yorkshire Police has experienced a period of high seasonal demand, which has placed considerable pressure on the Force Crime Management Unit (FCMU). In response, the FCMU pivoted its operational focus toward managing increased appointment volumes, which has inadvertently led to a growing backlog in crime finalisations. The procurement process was conducted via a Further Competition from the CCS Management Consultancy Framework Four (MCF4) Ref: RM6309 Lot 1 Business Consultancy. The Contract is anticipated to commence on 24th November 2025 and the work should be completed within a 10-week period (expiring 30th January 2026). There is provision to extend for a further period, or successive periods, up to 27th February 2026 (if required), at the sole discretion of the Authority.
