Description

The overall objectives of the project are: 1. To provide a customised, detailed project management training package (that could be a combination of training materials for Ofwat to deliver and an online learning tool) to enable project managers to acquire further project management knowledge that will be rolled out by Ofwat PMO. 2. For the training package to be completed and delivered by 30 March 2018. The proposed training package will enable Ofwat to: 1. Provide an Ofwat specific set of material to allow employees to learn how best practice project management techniques are applied within the organisational context. 2. Provide a common language/terminology across Ofwat relating to project management. 3. Utilise the existing materials and embedded processes already in place such as financial approvals, change management and our established governance framework etc. 4. Reflect Ofwat's project management lifecycle that is in place whilst utilising best practice from the project management industry. 5. Develop a modular set of material to allow learning for individuals at different times depending on experience and learning needs. These modules should explain the key concepts and how best to utilise the techniques and tools but in the context of the Ofwat organisation. Scope We are looking to work with an expert provider in PPM that can provide: 1. A customised online training package aimed at project managers (circa 40). All materials provided need to be in Ofwat's house style. 2. A customised learning tool to enable Ofwat PMO to deliver specific training to project managers as detailed above. 3. The scope of this project does not include the provider delivering training on behalf of Ofwat, but we would expect guidance on how to roll the package out, including train the trainer.
