Economic Integration Programme - ASEAN Sectoral Plan

The Department for Business and Trade has awarded a contract to The British Standards Institution for the design of a sectoral plan to support activity in the ASEAN region. The British Standards Institution (BSI) is the UK's National Standards Body, established by Royal Charter, and operating under a Memorandum of Understanding with UK Government to pursue shared public interests. A contract has been awarded in line with The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 under Regulation 32(2)(b) where competition is absent for technical reasons. No other economic operator has this technical positioning and alignment with UK Government, and the supplier is uniquely placed to undertake this activity in line with its national and international standing.
