Description
Birmingham City Council requires a supplier for the provision of a Masterplan for Edgbaston Reservoir which will be used to inform future enhancement of the area known as land around and including Edgbaston Reservoir, as identified on the attached plan, edged red, taking into consideration the economic, health, nature conservation/ecology and physical objectives. The plan should define a commercially viable project, and be used to co-ordinate various technical studies, assist with funding bids and identify a programme and timetable to meet its objectives. The objective of the Masterplan is to provide a vision for the Reservoir which builds upon the existing activities already taking place at Edgbaston Reservoir and to enhance the local community and wider sports, water sports and leisure offer to maximise opportunities for participation in a range of activities improving people's health whilst at the same time enhancing and protecting the nature conservation value, and improving the economic potential of the Reservoir. Consultants interested in tendering will be required to demonstrate knowledge and experience in the following: o Sport facilities planning, development and management o Civic space planning and development o Economic and market appraisals of proposals o Assessment of the sustainability of proposals o Health, recreational, economic and community benefits o Conservation and heritage o Nature conservation/ecology o Planning for health and wellbeing This contract will be for a period of 1 year commencing 10/10/2016 until 27/09/2017.
