Provision of occupational health services in an acute health care setting by appropriately qualified employees may include but are not limited to: i. Pre-employment health assessments ii. Providing independent and professional advice on staff unable to work due to long-term or short term intermittent health problems iii. Providing independent and professional advice on organisational wide strategies to reduce sickness absence iv. Providing advice and developing solutions to keep staff with health issues at work v. Preventing and removing health risks in the workplace, including immunisation and vaccination programmes and workplace assessments vi. Availability of specialist occupational health advice as required, vii. Provision of lifestyle, health promotion and well being advice for staff viii. Associated management training
