The Manufacture And Supply Of Life Preservers, Anti-G Trousers And Associated Spares

The Manufacture And Supply Of Life Preservers, Anti-G Trousers And Associated Spares The Air Commodities Team, part of the UK Ministry of Defence (MoD), intends to award a 14 month Contract to Survitec Group for the manufacture of the Mk42/43 Survitec Life Preservers and associated spares commencing in March 2016. It is considered that this contract can be awarded using the negotiated procedure without prior publication of a contract notice pursuant to Article 28(1)(e) of Directive 2009/81/EC (Regulation 16(1)(a)(ii) of the UK Defence and Security Public Contracts Regulations 2011 (DSPCR)). This is because Survitec owns the intellectual property rights to the design of the Mk42/43 Survitec Life Preservers. The MoD does not have, and no other party will be able to obtain, the technical and design information and/or Intellectual Property to manufacture the equipment.
