Description
Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police are to invite suitable vehicle operators to tender for the provision of Vehicle recovery scheme for the alliance. The Contract term will be for a maximum period of 5years. The contract will be on a 3+1+1 with a rolling extension after 36months. The first initial appointment will be a 3 year fixed period, years 4 and 5 will be appointment on a year by year basis subject to the following: • The Service provider maintaining levels of performance which are acceptable to the alliance throughout the preceding contract period. • The Service provider offering levels of safety and adhering to requirements of the tender specification and service level agreement. Due to the geographical coverage, the contract will be broken down into the various Lots. Bidders are eligible to bid for one or more Lots, in your tender submission (covering letter). Please ensure you clearly highlight the Lot(s) that you intend to bid, the alliance reserves the right to: 1. Award up to three or more operators per Lot, this is dependant upon the geographical location and the coverage needed for all recovery areas, and also depends on the number of bids received. 2. To award the same recovery operator with multiple Lots, providing they are successful with the specific Lot(s). 3. Where there are multiple operators within each Lot the alliance reserve the right to prioritise the recovery work load in a pro-rota basis starting with the highest scoring operator, followed by the second highest scoring bidder. Prioritising the work will be applied in a format of a ranking system. 4. The alliance reserve the right not award any of the Lots. Please note operators will not be allowed to choose either light or heavy vehicle recoveries. This contract is and shall cover a combination of the above two vehicle categories. West Mercia Police Vehicle Recovery- Coverage • Lot 1: Shrewsbury • Lot 2: Herefordshire • Lot 3: Telford and Wrekin • Lot 4: Kidderminster • Lot 5: Worcester • Lot 6: Redditch and Bromsgrove • Lot 7: Great Malvern Warwickshire Police Vehicle Recovery- Coverage • Lot 8: North Warwickshire and North Warwickshire- Rural (N5 & N6) • Lot 9: South Warwickshire (S5 & S6) • Lot 10: Rugby (N7) This is an Open EU procurement procedure, the ITT and full specification and supporting documents can be downloaded by registering and expressing your interest on the Blue Light Tendering system www.bluelight.gov.uk If you have any questions or comments in relation to this tender they must be submitted via the Blue Light portal. Completed tenders must be returned through the same e-tendering system. The closing date for return of the tender is 9th March 2017 at 12 noon (UK time) Firms are invited to study the requirement outlined in the tender documentation and provide their best bid to meet the needs identified.
