Description

Based in the south of England, South Central & West Commissioning Support Unit's (SCW) team of 1,300 skilled professionals provide expert support for over 80 NHS and non-NHS customers - nationally, regionally and locally; making a difference for 14 million people across an area of 15,600 square miles. One of the directorates within SCW is that of IT Services and a key cohort within this team are approximately 70 members of staff working within IT Service Delivery. IT Services are delivered to over 950 sites with over 33500 devices supported. IT Services engineers are required to travel across our customer footprint to provide desk side support where remote services are not viable, such as replacing faulty hardware. To support this requirement, a fleet of vehicles is available for use currently. SCW are looking for a delivery partner capable of providing lease vans up to a maximum fleet of 30 vehicles. The Contractual model will be based on a call off arrangement, with up to a maximum of 30 vehicles being leased over the contract period at any one time. Bidders should be aware that this contract advert does not guarantee a minimum level of spend. Services will be charged as and when used. The vehicles are essential to provide services where engineers need to cover large distances, often with a significant amount of kit in the vehicles. A Bridging Agreement (procurement project 1764) between SCW and Knowles was implemented to cover the vehicle leases from contract 878 and 442, which extended the term (whilst a longer term contract was tendered for) but no overall combined value increase was made.
