Description

East Northamptonshire Council is seeking the right partner to manage its leisure facilities and develop physical activity outreach services across the community. The Council's ambition for leisure provision is that there is a sustainable network of leisure facilities and activities available to residents, contributing to local health and well being in the district. At the same time the Council is seeking to reduce its leisure subsidy and liabilities. The Council wishes to seek an external provider with the new contract starting on 1.4.2017. The expectation is for a single whole network transfer with a 10 year contract, possibly with extension options, on a leasehold basis. The ambition is to facilitate the provision of leisure and physical activity services and activities which contribute to the Council's health and well-being priorities through the Council's 3 leisure facilities, and the creation of a sport and physical activity outreach service.
