Description
1.1 Cambridge City, South Cambridgeshire and West Suffolk District Councils are seeking to jointly commission a piece of research on the role that Build to Rent (BTR) Housing can play locally both now and in the future; both generally across Greater Cambridge and West Suffolk, and on specific large development sites. This includes BTR delivered as self-contained accommodation as well as Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMOs), together with Affordable Private Rent (APR). . 1.2 For Cambridge City and South Cambridgeshire, the work is needed to inform the development of: • a new joint Local Plan for Greater Cambridge, • an Area Action Plan for the planned new development at North East Cambridge • to help inform tenure mix on future phases of other new developments on strategic sites; and • the content of a new joint Housing Supplementary Document. 1.3 For West Suffolk it is needed for: • a new Local Plan for West Suffolk, • to help inform tenure mix on new strategic sites • the content of a new Affordable Housing Supplementary Document.
