Defra group does not currently have an internal modern slavery standard and relies on direct interpretation of legislation. Through onboarding the subject matter expert, the business aim to assess Defra's current position against relevant guidance and legislation and produce an action plan to ensure Defra are focusing on the right areas and have consistent information to share and benchmark our progress more widely across government
