Description
Norwich City Council requires a single supplier to provide structural and civil engineering maintenance and repair works to tenanted low rise properties which are being managed by NPS Norwich Ltd - Property Services Team. Maintenance and repair works are required to a range of structural defects which will include: Removal of existing precast concrete stairs comprising combined tread and riser units and replacing with new precast concrete steps fitted to existing precast concrete strings. Repairs to external reinforced concrete access decks/landings and staircase strings including surface preparation, survey, break out, repair, selective use of corrosion inhibitors, surface treatment and protective coatings. In addition works include brickwork repairs, preparation, repair and over coating access deck membranes and staircase landings, renewing any movement joints in decks, removal and replacement of existing metal railings and balustrading to access decks/landings and staircases as required to enable the works including treating top and underside of railings and isolated corroded posts with Galvafroid or similar coating and fitting new 'warm feel' handrail capping's. Note: Temporary staircases will be required to maintain access to dwellings where precast steps are being replaced.
