SSD 23 23 Direct payment Support Service tender

The Council is inviting a single provider or a lead provider with consortia or sub-contracting arrangement to deliver this service. Where there are consortium bids, there must be one lead organisation/management structure. The duration of the service contracts will be for 3 years from 1st October 2024, with the option to extend for up to 2 further periods of twelve (12) months each, subject to satisfactory performance, appropriate approvals, outcomes, funding availability, price, value for money and need for the service. The aim of this service is to support Direct Payment recipients in Derbyshire with the following: • Information and advice about how direct payments work in Derbyshire • Direct payment support on all matters relating to managing direct payments, including employer role and responsibilities, employment law, paying staff, managing care agencies, and keeping records. • Personal assistant recruitment and advertising PA vacancies. The service will be delivered to all residents of the administrative county of Derbyshire, excluding Derby City local authority area.
