Description
The new Asset Delivery (AD) contracts aim to deliver dependable prediction of maintenance and capital works over the long term and effective tender, award and management of service provider contracts in the short to medium term and so requires a robust and up to date knowledge base that provides both quantitative (inventory) and qualitative (condition) data. Developing and maintaining high quality and readily accessible information about its assets is a requirement of Highways England's operating licence and a key performance metric assessed by the Monitor. Up to date and unambiguous data is particularly important in maintaining safety critical assets and the attendant risk of their failure in a prompt and proactive way.
