Assessment of seagrass health in response to water quality in the Solent

The study will- - Aim to identify a suitable indicator that relates to how eelgrass (Zostera marina) health in the Southern estuaries is affected by water quality-nutrients. - Aim to acquire indicators of the health of seagrass that are of a suitable resolution to allow some key attributes to be assessed according to common standard monitoring guidance for seagrass The primary objective of the contract is to design, implement and report on a sampling strategy that will aim to identify an appropriate indicator of how water quality-nutrients is impacting the health of seagrass. In doing so the successful contractor will collect data and report on surveys to inform the condition monitoring of relevant designated sites.
