Description

We are looking for a sustainability expert to work with us on building related projects now and in the future. The first piece of work we need from you is the development a building-focused climate adaptation and decarbonisation plan for both V&A South Kensington and Young V&A including thermal modelling. This will be a six month project. For more information about this project, please log on to Delta where we have uploaded a Brief. We're looking for a supplier that can work with us now and for future building projects. For that reason, we are setting this contract up as a single supplier Framework to allow us to purchase services as and when we need them over the next four years. We want the knowledge that you gain from the decarb plan to benefit our future gallery refurbishment projects. While you're here, why not have a look at our sustainability page? You can find our edie-nominated climate action plan, our supplier sustainability charter, and a whole load of other great information too. https://www.vam.ac.uk/info/sustainability Please note that whilst we have stated the framework value is £450k, we don't have any way of accurately estimating the value of call-off contracts that will be placed using this framework. To avoid having to make substantial modifications under Section 74 of the Procurement Act 2023, we have made a conservatively (high) estimate.

Understanding of the BriefWhy no separate criterion for social value? PPN 002 requires contracting authorities like the V&A to allocate at least 10% of the total score to social value when awarding contracts, but only where it is "relevant to the subject matter of the contract and proportionate". In providing expert sustainability advice, you will be making a significant contribution to Outcome 4 of the government's Social Value Model: reducing carbon footprints, minimising waste, and promoting the use of clean energy and green technologies. We think that the best way for us to maximise social value is to pick the provider that can best provide us these services, which is why we have not explicitly allocated 10% of the weighting to social value. In other words, it's all social value!quality20.00%
