4 Axis Air Bearing Translation System

The University of Southampton has successfully concluded and awarded a contract for the provision of a 4 Axis Air Bearing Translation system for use in the Optoelectronics Research Centre (ORC). This system will extend the University's optical materials processing capabilities for a number of high-impact projects in the major engineering theme of Quantum Technologies. The system will be used to expand the breadth of manufacturing capabilities to stimulate new research ties across academia and industry via the EPSRC Quantum Hub initiative.
