Description

The Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) is seeking to transform the existing Sports Centre at Chichester High School into a modern, industry-leading gym facility that delivers a fully funded, professionally operated gym that serves both the school and the wider community, with no capital or operational expenditure from the school. This notice serves to inform the market of the potential direct award of a concession contract for the design, development, and long-term operation of a gym facility at Chichester High School to a pre-identified Delivery Partner. The Delivery Partner will: Fully fund and convert the facility, including all structural and design work. Provide and maintain state-of-the-art gym equipment. Operate the facility, including staffing, marketing, and administration. Deliver a dedicated school fitness suite, community gym, exercise and spin studios, and changing/shower facilities. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and maintain high levels of hygiene and customer service. The school will retain responsibility for the structural fabric of the building, utilities, and internal promotion. This engagement is intended to inform the market of TKAT's intention to proceed with a direct award, in line with Section 17 of the Procurement Act 2023.
