This requirement is for new manufacturer/supplier to undergo an assessment for their ability to supply the component to the required specification. This assessment shall include: • The history of use of the manufacturer/supplier by NIBSC, or a depositor. • The Quality Management System operated by the supplier, including evidence of ISO 9001 certification. • General details shall include: o The name of the component. o The manufacturer/supplier (and an alternative). o Any key properties (e.g. purity, activity). o Any pharmacopoeia test specifications.
