AWARDED CONTRACT: TRHR3268 - Content Writing Bias Detection Software

This contract is awarded to Be Applied Ltd for the provision of a web-based assistive writing software tool which specialises in the identification of bias within the context of job descriptions and advertising. The platform must be able to analyse for language associated with protected characteristics (age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation) and make suitable alternative recommendations to improve candidate experience. This procurement activity was conducted via open competition resulting from a previously published call for expressions of interest. The total duration of this contract is 1 year. As specified, this contract contains provision for the DfT to upgrade the number of users over the term of the subscription, subject to the DfT's needs and internal budget. The maximum budget allocated to this contract, including all increases to user numbers, is £16,500 excluding VAT.
