Termination of Pregnancy Service

Provision of a comprehensive termination of pregnancy service as part of the West Sussex Sexual Health Service. Offering access to appropriate methods of contraception, provide opportunities to screen and be treated for STIs and working to reduce repeat termination rates. The broad aim of the integrated sexual health service is to enable the residents of West Sussex to have positive sexual health and wellbeing; the Termination of Pregnancy service (ToPS) will form an essential element of sexual health provision across West Sussex. The ToPS service will work in partnership with the ISHS, who are the local sexual health service lead. They will provide a comprehensive termination of pregnancy service which offers those accessing the service opportunities to address their contraceptive needs and enable them to access appropriate methods of contraception and provide opportunities to screen and be treated for STIs, and works to reduce repeat termination rates.
