Description

Runnymede Borough Council are inviting tenders from suitably experienced contractors to design, supply and install a new play area, at Marshall Place, New Haw, KT15 3JB. Marshall Place Open Space is located at the end of a residential cul-de-sac. The open space shares a boundary with a golf course, a social club and residential properties. The open space is used by local residents and dog walkers and currently has no play equipment on site. The Tenderer is to include for full and satisfactory reinstatement of all damage to any part of the open space caused during the installation of play equipment, or storage of materials. Reinstatement must be to the satisfaction of the Authorised Officer. The site is not staffed and has no welfare facilities or on-site storage. The contractor must allow for the provision of temporary 'Heras' type protective fencing to prevent public access to the storage area and work site. The Tenderer is required to investigate all matters relating to the preparation of the Tender in order to ensure that it takes into account all circumstances likely to arise and that their tender is fully comprehensive and inclusive. No claims for additional payments resulting from the Contract shall be allowed insofar as they arise from the failure of the Tenderer to carry out all necessary investigations in the preparation of the tender. The Tenderer shall visit the site during the tender period in order to fully acquaint him/ herself with the site conditions/ dimensions. Tenderers are advised that HAGS-SMP, Lappset & Russell Play provided images of play equipment to enable an initial public consultation session to inform the specification.
