Public Health Funerals

North Somerset Council has a statutory duty to provide suitable funeral arrangements for persons who have died in the District in cases where no-one is prepared to make the funeral arrangements. The council is therefore seeking a funeral director, or similar, to provide this service on its behalf from 1 September 2019. The contract is for five years, with the potential for a two-year extension. Tender documents will be available on the Supplying The South West online portal (www.supplyingthesouthwest.org.uk) for suppliers to download and complete from 12 June 2019.
