Description
The requirement is to provide a continued, centralised, authoring, and cataloguing & illustration service for the control, creation, promulgation, amendment and or revision of the technical documentation that supports equipment and platforms of the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary. The editorial service is to ensure all Maritime Technical Publications are produced in compliance with Defence Standard 02250 and CATSPEC 10 ensuring technical content is consistent with the information supplied. Range: Illustrated Parts Catalogues (IPCs); Spare Gear Lists (SGLs) and Provisioning Schedules (PSs) in accordance with Def Stan 02250 Part 5 and CATSPEC 10. Scale: The scope of this requirement covers a portfolio of: 7,500 IPCs; 16,800 SGLs and 7,500 PSs at a UK Security Classification of up to SECRET – UK Eyes Only. The requirement consists of a core, regular service with a list of priced items to be called off by Authorised Users. These includes, but is not limited to: CORE: • Database Management Service: Produce and Maintain a Type B (Spare Gear List) database. • Management of Illustrated Parts Catalogues held on the Line Item Database that is an MOD provided software tool. • Handling and investigation of NonPatternised Demands on behalf of the Authority. • Management of a PS library in electronic format that enables traceability, amendment and distribution. • Maintain a unique reference number issuing service for all Type B SGLs issued by the authority under this contract. • Provide an Investigation Report for each amendment to IPCs, PSs & new SGLs. • Provision of, monthly, a Comma Separated Values (CSV) file extract from the Type B database to Surface Ships Master Record Data Centre (MRDC), this file is to contain the individual line item data for all upissued SGL’s within each calendar month of the contract. NONCORE: • Enact on behalf of Ships OC, the secure generation, maintenance, revision, amendment and publication of centralised cataloguing and illustration service for IPCS; PSs and SGLs that supports in service equipment and platforms of the Royal Navy and Royal Fleet Auxiliary in accordance with Defence Standard 02250 and Catspec 10. • Promulgation of Equipment Introduction Packages in accordance with Catspec 10 as and when required/determined by the Authority. • A Bulk Scanning service as and when determined by the Authority. • Provide a Screening and Investigation service of all MoD Inventory based systems upon request. • Enable Etask codification creation including obtaining the required mandatory information inclusive of monitoring the activity and highlighting any issues to the Authority. • Any investigative work pertaining to the Core activities of the contract upon request.
