Description
The Council has a requirement to deploy a range of low carbon and renewable energy technologies in a cost neutral way to make progress against our commitment to reach net zero by 2050. Being able to purchase as part of a group helps residents access these products for a more competitive price versus doing so on their own on the open market. A new expert partner will help the Council provide residents with access to high quality solar PV, retrofit battery storage, electric vehicle charge points, and for the first time, heat pumps (ground and/or air-source). The partner will be required to hold a reverse auction where prospective installers can bid to provide residents access to these technologies for a competitive price versus the open market.
