Estates Cleaning Services

*This is for information only, as the contract has been awarded* West Kent is using the Procurement Assist Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) PA/BOS/04 Cleaning Services (Lot 2: Domestic), for the purpose of procuring the services described in the Specification. The services will consist of: • Scheduled general cleaning of doors, flooring, stairs, scheme offices, handrails, wall surfaces, light covers, internal fixtures and fittings, internal communal doors and glazing, lifts, fire safety equipment, general surfaces, landlord cupboards, cleaning of commercial tumble dryer vents, etc, in accordance with an agreed Pricing Schedule, agreed frequency and where applicable. • Scheduled window cleaning to both communal areas, inside and out, as well as resident windows, in accordance with an agreed Price Matrix, agreed frequency and where applicable. The works may also include: • Fire safety works to consist of the simple, visual fire safety inspections of communal areas to confirm that exits are not blocked, fire doors appear undamaged, fire action notices are in place, no rubbish or belongings are present that may cause a fire risk or obstruct exits, fire doors are shut, etc, in accordance with the agreed cleaning schedule and where applicable. The notifying of residents via the stickering of belongings, removal, storage, disposal or return of belongings present that may cause a fire risk or obstruct exits, will also form part of the scope of works. • Ad hoc general cleaning of doors, flooring, stairs, offices, handrails, wall surfaces, light covers, internal fixtures and fittings, internal communal doors and glazing, lifts, fire safety equipment, general surfaces, landlord cupboards, etc, due to urgent requirement and against the agreed Price Matrix. • Ad hoc window cleaning to both communal areas, inside and out, as well as resident windows, in accordance with an agreed Price Matrix and where applicable. • Ad hoc specialist cleaning such as the deep cleaning of carpets, furniture and fittings, mechanical or manual hard floor scrubbing, the cleaning of excrement or bodily fluids, the internal and external cleaning of wheelie bins, etc, in accordance with an agreed Price Matrix and where applicable. The full details of the services are set out in the Specification, which will form part of the Contract.
