*** AS OF 24th July 2018, THIS CONTRACT HAS BEEN AWARDED*** Tenders are invited from interested parties for the service contract for the maintenance of fire alarms and intruder alarms at Buckinghamshire New University. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FIRE ALARMS AND INTRUDER ALARMS ARE ADT CLOSED PROTOCOL SYSTEMS. SUPPLIERS SHOULD ONLY EXPRESS THEIR INTEREST IF THEY ARE AUTHORISED TO SERVICE AND OBTAIN PARTS FOR THESE SYSTEMS. The deadline to register your expression of interest is Wednesday 2nd May at 15:00. The ITT documents will be made available on the portal on Thursday 3rd May 2018. Tenderers will be required to supply a price for a fully comprehensive service contract for the ADT fire alarm and intruder alarm systems across the Main High Wycombe Campus, Uxbridge Campus, Brook Street Halls of Residence and University Campus Aylesbury Vale (UCAV) sites. The comprehensive cover is to include all maintenance and service including a 24 hour, 365 day emergency breakdown. Tender is to include all materials and any overheads including any batteries required.The University will require a minimum of 2 (two) service visits per year for the intruder alarms and 4 (four) service visits per year for the fire alarms. The successful contractor will be invited to enter a contract for an initial 3 (three) year period beginning on Wednesday 1st August 2018 with the option of an extension for a further period of up to 2 (two) years at yearly intervals subject to review of the continued successful performance of the contract. The decision of whether to take up the extension option will be down to the absolute discretion of the University. The estimated total value of the contract over its duration (including the extension option if this is taken up) is between £42,000 - £50,000 excluding VAT. It is essential that Tenderers visit the University prior to submitting their tender submission in order to ascertain all the necessary information which may affect their tender sum.
