Description

Hastings Borough Council (HBC), in partnership with all other District and Borough Authorities in East Sussex, are seeking a provider (or set of providers) with suitable provision to provide a minimum of 12 units of Supported Accommodation in East Sussex, tailored to meet the demand of an entrenched rough sleeping population. This service will provide a bespoke offer of Supported Accommodation aimed working with those with entrenched and multiple compound needs (MCN). The service will focus on providing a period of accommodation to deliver assessments, promote recovery, and work to facilitate homelessness prevention by delivering a package of tenancy readiness training and skills development that aims to promote move on into general needs accommodation. The project will benefit from a specialist Move on pathway, tailored to a variety of needs and that respond to supporting our objectives of rough sleeping prevention. This will include access to Housing First units under the Single Homeless Accommodation Programme (SHAP), Rough Sleeping/Next Steps Accommodation Programme (RSAP/NSAP), or other supported accommodation services. The Local Authorities will also work with the service to enable proactive move on pathways into general needs tenancies by promoting greater access through financial incentives and landlord networks.
