Description
CONTRACT NOT AWARDED It became apparent during the tender response period that the Council’s tender documentation had not provided sufficient information to tenderers on the likely volumes to be expected for the Building Control element. Despite the part clarification of this by way of a response to a submitted question, this omission has led to a significant variation in the responses provided by the tenderers which has made a fair comparison on financial grounds impractical. The Council has therefore decided to suspend the tender pending a review of the tender documentation. A revised tender exercise will be undertaken in the third quarter of 2016. The Council apologise to tenderers for an inconvenience that this will have caused but hope that you will understand that it is important to ensure that all submissions are assessed using a common set of parameters and the process is equitable to all.
