Description

Purchase of 51 Advanced Electronic Experimental Platforms for use in the Training Suite at DSCIS Blandford in the Communications Technologies Section. Functions of the Virtual Integration Platforms shall include but nopt be limited to supporting a complete learning facility for the practical instruction of Ohms law, Kirchoffs current, and voltage laws including the measurement of Voltage and current of both series and parallel resistor circuits. Equipment also has to be able to demonstrate the effects of AC frequency when applied to resistors, capacitors and inductors in the freq range of 2Hz up to 2Mhz. Each training position (48 + 3) will require the student to build simple and complex circuits of resistors, capacitors and inductors and then to apply a source of EMF either AC or DC in the range of 0V – 12V DC and 0V – 24V Pk-Pk. The student is also required to take measurements of Potential Difference (Voltage) and Currents at all parts of the circuits and calculate power used in the circuits.
